Head Lining Cleaning
These require special care and attention, as cloth type headliners are assembled with foam backing and usually glued to a fibre roof panel. If the headliner becomes wet, it can cause the head liner to delaminate and fall down. We use a specialist cleaner that is sprayed onto a terry towel or microfibre towel and wiped very gently over the area concerned.
It is important to note that should you try this yourself, you should not spray products directly onto a head lining. We wipe the surface lightly making sure not to leave the headliner wet. We then inspect and re-clean as necessary. We clean the headliner a quarter section at a time.
We lightly brush the headliner with a natural-latex sponge, microfibre towel or a horsehair brush (horsehair brushes have a very soft bristle that are very gentle and are specially made for headliners or leather surfaces). this will loosen dust or dirt and make vacuuming easier.
Lastly inspect the headliner at various angles once dry to see if any marks have been missed.
